When the temperature outside begins to climb, many people seek the cool comfort of indoor air conditioning. Air conditioning is the cooling of indoor air for thermal comfort. In a broader sense, the term can refer to any form of cooling or ventilation that modifies the condition of air. Creating air comfort in the desert climate is our strong point.

An air conditioner (often referred to as AC or air con.) is an appliance, system, or machine designed to stabilise the air temperature and humidity within an area, typically using a refrigeration cycle but sometimes using evaporation, commonly for comfort cooling in homes, apartments and buildings.

Air conditioners come in various sizes, cooling capacities and prices. Homes usually have a condenser unit in the backyard. An apartment complex often has multiple condensers for each dwelling. Most businesses and office buildings have condensing units or cooling towers on their roofs that are connected to the air conditioning system.

If you need commercial or residential air conditioning, heating, or ventilation services, look no further than Extreme Comfort. We are your source fo buying, repairing, maintaining or upgrading your air conditioning, central air, heat pump, or furnace.

Extreme Comfort has been providing Arizona air conditioning system installation, repair, and service since 1981.

The typical central air conditioning system is a split system, with an outdoor air conditioning, or "compressor bearing unit" and an indoor coil, which is usually installed on top of the furnace.
Using electricity as its power source, the compressor pumps refrigerant through the system to gather heat and moisture from indoors and remove it from the home or building.
Heat and moisture are removed when warm air from inside is blown over the cooled indoor coil. The heat in the air transfers to the coil, thereby "cooling" the air.
The heat that has transferred to the coil is then "pumped" to the exterior , while the cooled air is pumped back inside, helping to maintain a comfortable indoor temperature.
Central air conditioning can also be provided through a package unit or a heat pump.
